Magdalena Fuchsberger's new production of Poulenc's "Dialogues des Carmelites" will be presented at the Vienna State Opera from May 21. Bertrand de Billy will conduct, Eve-Maud Hubeaux will sing Mère Marie, and Michaela Schuster will sing Madame de Croissy.

KWANGCHUL YOUN performs one of his signature Wagner roles as Landgrave Hermann in “Tannhäuser” on the stage of the Hamburg State Opera. He then sings Gurnemanz in a concert performance of Act 3 of Parsifal at the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden and König Heinrich in the new production “Lohengrin” at the Opera de Paris.

PETER KELLNER makes his debut as Pagageno in Mozart's The Magic Flute at the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The KOB production was directed by Barrie Kosky and will now be performed at the Teatro Colón for the first time. After successful performances as Papageno at the Vienna State Opera and the Royal Opera House in London, this is his first appearance in this role at the Teatro Colón.

SLAVKA ZAMECNIKOVA can be heard as Musetta in Puccini's La Bohème at the Opéra de Paris from May 2nd, where she makes her house debut.

Kirill Petrenko is on a concert tour through Spain with the Berliner Philharmoniker. This year, the European concert on May 1st will be broadcast from the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona. The program includes works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Valentin Silvestrov, and Tōru Takemitsu. Further concerts in Madrid and Zaragoza will follow.

TARA ERRAUGHT makes her role debut as Alice Ford in "Falstaff" at the Hamburg State Opera. This is her second role debut of the season at the State Opera. Fiordiligi ( Cosi fan tutte ) in February/March 2023 will be her second soprano role at the opera.

BOGDAN TALOS sings Caronte in Monteverdi's “L'Orfeo” and Count Rodolfo in Bellini's “La Sonnambula” at the Semperoper in Dresden.

JOANA MALLWITZ conducts Mozart's "Le Marriage of Figaro" at the Nuremberg State Theater. She has served as General Music Director there since the 2018/19 season.

ALEXANDER SODDY returns to the Vienna State Opera for the third time this season, conducting Bizet's "Carmen" in a production by Calixto Bieito. Mezzo-soprano EVE-MAUD HUBEAUX performs the title role.

The young Lower Bavarian conductor THOMAS GUGGEIS will be conducting the Munich Philharmonic for the first time .

The Concertgebouw Prize will be presented to conductor Jaap van Zweden on April 18. This award recognizes his exceptional contribution to the artistic profile of the Concertgebouw.

MARIA BENGTSSON returns to the Amsterdam Opera House to sing one of her best-known roles as the Marschalin in Strauss's Der Rosenkavalier. ANGEL ROMERO performs as an Italian singer.

For the 10th time, the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra will perform at the Easter Festival in Baden-Baden under the direction of Kirill Petrenko , this time performing “Woman Without a Shadow”.

ALEXANDER SODDY will step in as Conductor of the Philharmonia Orchestra at short notice. Soddy has conducted at opera houses throughout Europe, at the Metropolitan Opera House in New York, and in Tokyo. He made his Royal Opera House debut in 2022 in the acclaimed productions of Salome and Tannhäuser.

BERTRAND DE BILLY returns to the Vienna Symphony Orchestra and gives two concerts at the Vienna Konzerthaus, with Alexandre Kantorow at the piano.

TARA ERRAUGHT returns to the Bavarian State Opera in the role of the composer in Ariadne auf Naxos .

This season, Simone Young returns to the Met as guest conductor for Strauss's great Viennese comedy "Der Rosenkavalier." Among the performers are soprano Lise Davidsen as the aging Marschallin, mezzo-soprano Samantha Hankey as her lover Octavian, and bass Günther Groissböck as the grumpy Baron Ochs.
