Biography

The French-Swiss conductor Bertrand de Billy is regarded as one of the most distinguished artists both in the opera pit and on the concert platform.

He is a regular guest at the Vienna State Opera, where in the 2026/27 season he returns for a new production of La damnation de Faust, as well as Don Carlos and Otello. He also returns to the Staatsoper Unter den Linden for a new production of Manon Lescautand makes his Teatro alla Scala debut with Don Quichotte. On the concert stage, he makes his debut with the Essener Philharmoniker and returns to the Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte-Carlo, Philharmonisches Staatsorchester Hamburg, Orchestre de la Suisse Romande and Sinfonieorchester Basel.
