Slávka Zámečníková sings Micaëla in Carmen at the Teatro alla Scala.

The premiere will take place on June 8th, with further performances following until June 27th.

Her previous interpretations of the role have been widely acclaimed. Critics have highlighted that "her Micaëla is full of character and perfectly embodies Bizet's understanding of the role... Her timbre is that of a lyric soprano – very soft and sweet, yet with a touch of darkness that gives the character remarkable depth."

Shortly after the production's completion, Zámečníková will perform alongside Sir Bryn Terfel in an opera gala concert at the Smetanova-Litomyšl Festival on July 2. She will then return to the role of Micaëla in a concert performance of Carmen with the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra on July 26 and 29.
