Nikolai Schukoff returns to the Ljubljana Festival with his acclaimed interpretation of Samson

Nikolai Schukoff returns to Saint-Saëns' Samson et Dalila on July 9 , taking on the title role in a concert performance at the Ljubljana Festival with the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra and Choir . His previous performances as Samson have been highly praised by critics, with reviewers describing him as "a convincing Samson with a powerful voice and secure high notes."
Then it begins Schukoff An exciting 2026/27 season awaits him. Highlights include the title role in Peter Grimes at the Opéra national du Capitole , as well as appearances as Melot in a new production of Tristan und Isolde and as Aegisthus in a new production of Elektra , both at the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino . In December, he will also tour as the tenor soloist in Beethoven's Ninth Symphony with the Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra , with concerts in Osaka, Tokyo, and Yokohama .
