Karen Kamensek will conduct the Boston Symphony Orchestra at Tanglewood on July 5 for the world premiere of Philip Glass's Symphony No. 15 "Lincoln" . The performance at Tanglewood follows Kamensek's recent debut with the National Symphony Orchestra in Washington, DC. The concert is part of a series of major orchestral engagements in North and South America .
Later in the summer, Kamensek returns to the UK to conduct Humperdinck's Hänsel und Gretel at the Longborough Festival Opera. The series of performances begins on July 30 .
