Emmanuel Tjeknavorian makes a significant US debut at the Hollywood Bowl

Emmanuel Tjeknavorian will conduct the Los Angeles Philharmonic in his Hollywood Bowl debut on July 30. The program includes Khachaturian's Gayane Suite (in a new arrangement by Tjeknavorian), Tchaikovsky's Variations on a Rococo Theme, Op. 33, and Mussorgsky's most famous work: Pictures at an Exhibition.

This significant US debut marks the culmination of an extraordinary 2025/26 season. At the beginning of the season, Tjeknavorian made his debut with the National Symphony Orchestra in Washington, D.C., where he conducted three solo concertos at the Kennedy Center. Beethoven -programs. Critics praised his masterful conducting, highlighting that he "knows exactly what he is doing," while the orchestra under his direction played with "verve, enthusiasm, and precision." 

During the season, Tjeknavorian also conducted renowned ensembles such as the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della RAI Torino, the Malmö Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra, the Orchestra della Toscana, the Dresden Philharmonic, the Graz Philharmonic and the Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte-Carlo.

Tjeknavorian also made important contributions to the field of opera: He made his operatic debut in Italy with Verdi's Un ballo in maschera at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino At the start of the upcoming season, he will also be participating for the first time at Teatro dell’Opera di Roma Conducting Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro.
