She has received international acclaim for her interpretation of this role; her "dazzling vocal range and variety of colors" are particularly highlighted, with which she expresses passion and defiance as impressively as sensuality and self-confidence.

Directed by Nadja Loschky and conducted by Lorenzo Passerini, the production presents a vibrant and psychologically nuanced interpretation of Bizet's masterpiece. Performances are scheduled until June 1st.

Hubeaux will remain with the Semperoper through the summer, taking on the demanding role of Amneris in Verdi's Aida. The premiere on June 11 marks an impressive continuation of her Dresden season and underscores her dramatic versatility in two of the most iconic mezzo-soprano roles in the operatic repertoire.
