Maria Bengtsson will take on the role of Ellen Orford in Benjamin Britten's Peter Grimes at the Royal Ballet & Opera.

The premiere takes place on May 5th under the musical direction of Jakub Hrůša. Featuring a top-class cast including Allan Clayton and Sir Bryn Terfel, Deborah Warner's production can be seen until May 28th.

Bengtsson has already sung the role on major international stages and has been widely praised for her nuanced, balanced timbre and clear text interpretation.
