WAGNER: THE RING OF THE NIBELUNG

For Calixto Bieito's ring on the Opéra national de Paris The circle is complete: At the Opéra Bastille, the four operas will be presented in two complete cycles under the direction of Pablo Heras-Casado – with three ARSIS artists returning to the roles they previously sang in the respective new productions. Eve-Maud Hubeaux sings Fricka in Das Rheingold and Die Walküre as well as Waltraute in Götterdämmerung; ClassiqueNews praised the “impressive presence” and “volcanic temperament” of her Fricka and called her Waltraute “a short but brilliant appearance, on par with the principals.” Kwangchul Youn returns as a “great and vocally magnificent Fasolt” (Opera Today), Elza van den Heever as Sieglinde, whom Opera Today called “truly magnetic.”

DAS RHEINGOLD November 6th/15th

DIE WALKÜRE: 7th/17th Nov.

Twilight of the Gods: November 13/22
