Emmanuel Tjeknavorian makes his debut with the Houston Symphony Orchestra

EMMANUEL TJEKNAVORIAN

HOUSTON SYMPHONY

Emmanuel Tjeknavorian will make his Houston Symphony debut in November, conducting Prokofiev's Violin Concerto No. 2 with the orchestra's concertmaster, Yoonshin Song, as soloist – in a program that also includes Khachaturian's Suite from Gayaneh, Shostakovich's Symphony No. 9, and Borodin's Polovtsian Dances. This debut follows his successful US debut with the Los Angeles Philharmonic at the Hollywood Bowl last summer, where his "athletic and graceful conducting" was praised.

6th/7th/8th Nov., JONES HALL, HOUSTON
