Philippe Jordan with Orchester de l'Opéra de Paris, Filarmonica della Scala, Maggio Musicale, Staatskapelle Dresden , Orchestre de Monte-Carlo and Bruckner Abbey Concerts
Philippe Jordan continues his international concert career with some of Europe's most prestigious orchestras. Upon his return to Paris, Philippe Jordan will conduct the Orchestre de l' Opéra national de Paris Berlioz' monumental Requiem will be performed at the Philharmonie de Paris. On May 28th, he will conduct the Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino with a program including Beethoven's Leonore Overture No. 3, Piano Concerto No. 3, and Bruckner's Symphony No. 4.
On June 7th, he will conduct the Filarmonica della Scala at the Noda BCVS in Sion, Switzerland. The conductor, celebrated for his "consistently unique interpretations, characterized by a highly personal vision of the works," will present a program featuring the overture to Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro , Beethoven's Symphony No. 2, and Mendelssohn's Symphony No. 5.
The season concludes with a concert on June 24th featuring the Staatskapelle Dresden with Shostakovich's Violin Concerto No. 2 and Symphony No. 10. On July 4, Jordan will conduct the Bruckner Orchestra Linz in Bruckner's Symphony No. 8, before performing Mahler's Symphony No. 5 together with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte-Carlo on July 9.
