8th–28th MAY, DUTCH NATIONAL OPERA

Kirill Serebrennikov's new production of Le nozze di Figaro premieres at the Dutch National Opera on May 8. Serebrennikov's contemporary staging is a co-production with the Komische Oper Berlin. Featuring a cast including Björn Bürger, Olga Kulchynska, Emily Pogorelc, and Cecilia Molinari, performances will run in Amsterdam until May 28.

Serebrennikov's work in film and opera is characterized by a distinctive artistic style that anchors the soundscapes of complex operatic works in the real world and invites the audience to "experience a profoundly human perspective on the work."
