Eun Sun Kim, a regular guest at the opera house, returns to Berlin as musical director for this production. She is widely praised for her ability to clearly shape, vividly unfold, and effectively heighten the musical drama in her interpretations. She will return to the Staatsoper again in January 2027 to conduct Tosca.

Michael Laurenz brings as Tanzmeister He brings his characteristic energy and precision to the prelude of Strauss's opera. Next month he returns to the house to sing the role of Pedrillo in Mozart's The Abduction from the Seraglio.
