Thomas Guggeis makes his house debut at the Teatro alla Scala with "The Abduction from the Seraglio"

THOMAS GUGGEIS makes his long-awaited house debut with Mozart's "The Abduction from the Seraglio" at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan.

The performances are on February 25 and 29, and March 3, 5, 8, and 10, 2024.

Thomas Guggeis has been General Music Director of the Frankfurt Opera since the beginning of the 2023/24 season. In this role, he traditionally also assumes artistic direction of the Frankfurt Museum Concerts. He made his Frankfurt debut in May 2021 with a performance of Mozart's Requiem, followed by Strauss's Ariadne auf Naxos. In his first season in Frankfurt, he will conduct new productions of Le nozze di Figaro, Le grand macabre, and Tannhäuser, alongside revivals of Don Carlo and Elektra. As part of the Museum Concerts, he will conduct, among others, Mahler's Symphony No. 7, Sibelius' Symphony No. 5, Ravel's La Valse, Strauss' Alpine Symphony, and Verdi's Messa da Requiem.
