SEBASTIAN WEIGLES Returns to the Metropolitan Opera with Mussorgsky's Boris Godunov

Sebastian Weigle returned to the Metropolitan Opera with Mussorgsky’s Boris Godunov.

We are very happy about the reopening of the Metropolitan Opera after the lockdown and especially that Sebastian Weigle was a part of it.

"Sebastian Weigle's intense, tight leadership of the stunningly rehearsed Met Orchestra was faultless. The low strings and lack of density in the ensemble somehow added to the winning chill of the plot; when bright colors were needed to underscore a situation, Weigle, et al, provided them. A lofty, moving performance." (Bachtrack Robert Lewine, September 30, 2021)
