Philippe Jordan, Music Director of the Vienna State Opera, conducts Richard Strauss's Alpine Symphony and excerpts from Wagner's Das Rheingold , sonorous works in which such scenes occur at crucial points. And in Alban Berg's Altenberg Songs, expressive energy is also unleashed through snowstorms and thunderstorms.
