New in general management at ARSIS Artists Management: Štěpánka Pučálková

ŠTĚPÁNKA PUČÁLKOVÁ
ARSIS Artists Management is delighted to welcome Czech mezzo-soprano Štěpánka Pučálková to its General Management. Internationally sought after as both an opera and concert singer, she impresses, according to Concerti, "with a genuinely velvety and full-bodied mezzo timbre."
A particular highlight of her upcoming season is her return to the role of Octavian in Richard Strauss's Der Rosenkavalier in a new production at the Latvian National Opera in Riga. Pučálková's highly praised debut as Octavian at the Leipzig Opera was described by the Leipziger Volkszeitung as "not far from the ideal of this role."
Her other engagements in the 2026/27 season include Queen Elisabeth of Pomerania in Vítězslav Novák's Karlštejn at the National Theatre in Prague and Maddalena in an open-air production of Verdi's Rigoletto in the summer of 2027. In the concert arena, she will perform, among other works, Mozart's Requiem with the Tonkünstler Orchestra at the Festspielhaus St. Pölten and Janáček's Glagolitic Mass under the direction of Karina Canellakis at the Concertgebouw Amsterdam.
Recent highlights include her critically acclaimed portrayal of Agene di Milano in Beatrice di Tenda , a role she took over at short notice at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Düsseldorf, and her return to the Semperoper Dresden as Ascanio in Cellini's Benvenuto and as Cherubino in Le nozze di Figaro , her debuts at the Salzburg Whitsun Festival as Flora Bervoix in La traviata and at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome in Wagner's Die Walküre under Daniel Harding, as well as Carmen, Charlotte in Werther and Adalgisa in Bellini's Norma at the National Theatre Prague.
In addition, she performed as Marguerite in Berlioz's La Damnation de Faust at the Prague Spring Festival, made her debut at the MusikTheater an der Wien in Verdi's Stiffelio and at the Teatro San Carlo in Naples in Strauss's Salome , and performed with orchestras such as the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra, the Warsaw Philharmonic, the Staatskapelle Dresden and the Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg on stage.
Her repertoire includes roles such as Octavian, Carmen, Charlotte, Varvara, Olga, Hänsel, Orlofsky, Nicklausse/Muse, Ascanio, Sesto Pompeo, Cherubino, Wellgunde, and Urbain. Her concert repertoire includes Mozart's Requiem , Beethoven's Ninth Symphony , Verdi's Messa da Requiem , Dvořák's Requiem , Mahler's Eighth Symphony and Das Lied von der Erde , Mendelssohn's Lobgesang , as well as Wagner's Wesendonck Lieder and Schoenberg's Gurre-Lieder .
