Kirill Petrenko makes his debut at Teatro alla Scala with Strauss' Rosenkavalier
The most anticipated debut of the year on the podium of the La Scala Orchestra will undoubtedly be that of Kirill Petrenko , chief conductor of the Berliner Philharmoniker . Petrenko chose for his first appearance at La Scala the ambiguous elegance of Strauss and Hofmannsthal's apology about love and renunciation in 18th-century Vienna.
