Grammy-winning conductor Karen Kamensek combines an impressive artistic range with a deep commitment to promoting 20th and 21st-century composers—both in opera and on the concert stage. The 2024/25 season highlights her exceptional versatility, as she makes several major debuts, including La Bohème at Houston Grand Opera and Candide at the Semperoper Dresden.

This season she also returned to the San Francisco Opera with The Handmaid's Tale and conducted Moby Dick at the Metropolitan Opera.
