KAREN KAMENSEK makes her Houston Grand Opera debut this month with La Bohème .

Grammy-winning conductor Karen Kamensek combines an impressive artistic range with a deep commitment to promoting 20th and 21st century composers – both in opera and on the concert stage. The 2024/25 season highlights her exceptional versatility, as she makes several major debuts, including La Bohème at Houston Grand Opera and Candide at the Semperoper Dresden .

This season she also returned to the San Francisco Opera with The Handmaid's Tale and conducted Moby Dick at the Metropolitan Opera.
