Joana Mallwitz signs exclusive contract with Deutsche Grammophon
To mark the label’s 125th anniversary at the end of the year, JOANA MALLWITZ will conduct Deutsche Grammophon’s gala concert.
Deutsche Grammophon announces the signing of an exclusive contract with German conductor Joana Mallwitz. At the beginning of the 2023/24 season, she will also take up her new position as Chief Conductor and Artistic Director of the Konzerthausorchester Berlin after serving as General Music Director at the Nuremberg State Theatre for five years.
The focus of the new partnership between conductor and label is on productions with her future ensemble, the Konzerthausorchester Berlin Audio, video, and livestream projects are planned. The full diversity of her artistry will be reflected in them. Her impressive repertoire spans all eras and genres, and she is just as successful on the operatic stage as she is in the concert hall.
