Thomas Guggeis makes his house debut with Mozart's "Die Entführung aus dem Serail" at Teatro alla Scala

THOMAS GUGGEIS makes his long-awaited house debut with Mozart's "Die Entführung aus dem Serail" at Teatro alla Scala in Milan.

Performances are scheduled for February 25th and 29th, as well as March 3rd, 5th, 8th, and 10th, 2024.

Thomas Guggeis took up the posts of General Music Director of Oper Frankfurt and Artistic Director of the Frankfurt Museum Concerts at the beginning of the 2023/24 season. He made his debut in Frankfurt in May 2021 with Mozart's Requiem, which was followed by Strauss' Ariadne auf Naxos.  In his first season in Frankfurt, he will lead new productions of Le nozze di Figaro, Le grand macabre and Tannhäuser alongside revivals of Don Carlo and Elektra. As part of the Museum Concerts, he conducts Mahler's 7th Symphony, Sibelius' 5th Symphony, La Valse by Ravel, Strauss' Alpine Symphony and Messa da Requiem by Verdi, among others.
