YOEL GAMZOU conducts “Salome” with JENNIFER HOLLOWAY in the title role at the Vienna State Opera.

Gamzou has received numerous awards, including the ECHO Klassik Award in the category Young Artist of the Year "Conductor" in 2017, the Princess Margriet Award in 2013, and the Berenberg Culture Prize (Hamburg). Born into a family of artists and raised in New York, London, and Tel Aviv, he was the last student of Carlo Maria Giulini.
The American soprano Jennifer Holloway has established herself internationally in recent years as one of the leading sopranos in the youth dramatic repertoire. In addition to Salome at the Vienna State Opera, she sings Chrysothemis (Elektra) at the Hamburg State Opera and Leonore (Fidelio) at the Zurich Opera House. At the Frankfurt Opera, she will make her role debut as Kundry (Parsifal) in a new production under Thomas Guggeis. This summer, she will appear for the first time at the Bayreuth Festival as Sieglinde (Die Walküre). She will also sing the soprano part in Beethoven's 9th Symphony under Eun Sun Kim in San Francisco and Saint-Saens' "L'Ancetre Nunciata" in Monte Carlo.
