In November 2025, the Sydney Symphony Orchestra will continue its Ring cycle in concert form with Richard Wagner's Siegfried at the Sydney Opera House .
Under the musical direction of Simone Young , the first Australian conductor to lead a Ring cycle at the Bayreuth Festival, a top-class cast is presented, including Wolfgang Koch as Wanderer and Miina-Liisa Värelä (Brünnhilde).
The Sydney Symphony Orchestra characterizes these performances as a “once-in-a-generation event” within a large-scale Ring project that focuses on the emotional and sonic power of Wagner’s music.
Performances: November 13th and 16th, 2025
