Simone Young becomes honorary member of the Vienna State Opera and conducts Peter Grimes

Simone Young begins 2022 with Benjamin Britten's Peter Grimes at the Vienna State Opera, with Jonas Kaufmann in the title role.

Since her celebrated revival Since the 2011/2012 season, she has been a regular guest in Vienna with both new productions and revivals of Strauss's Daphne . Under her direction Erik van Heyningen sings the role of Hobson. The baritone is a member of the Vienna State Opera ensemble.

Following the performance of Peter Grimes on February 2, 2022, conductor Simone Young will be awarded honorary membership of the Vienna State Opera.
