The Spanish conductor Ramon Tébar He makes his debut at the San Francisco Opera in Donizetti 's L'elisir d'amore. Tebar is Chief Conductor and Artistic Director of Opera Naples and Artistic Director of the Arantzazu Festival in Spain. He was previously Music Director of the Orquesta de Valencia, Music Director of the Florida Grand Opera in Miami, and Principal Guest Conductor of the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia in Valencia.

The soprano Slávka Zámecniková sings the role of Adina. Zámecniková has been considered one of the most remarkable talents and earns the greatest hopes ever since her successes at the Vienna and Berlin State Operas, the Opéra de Paris, the Wiesbaden International May Festival, and as a prizewinner in various competitions.
