At the Baden-Baden Easter Festival, Petrenko will continue to conduct operas in addition to concerts. In 2022, he conducted a performance of Tchaikovsky's "The Queen of Spades" to great international acclaim, followed by Richard Strauss's "Frau ohne Schatten" in 2023 and "Elektra" in 2024. In spring 2025, he will conduct Puccini's "Madama Butterfly." It has since been announced that Kirill Petrenko and the Berlin Philharmonic will return to the Salzburg Easter Festival starting in 2026.
