Simone Young / Wolfgang Koch: Concert performance of Wagner's Siegfried in Sydney

In November 2025, the Sydney Symphony Orchestra will continue its Ring cycle in concert form with Richard Wagner's Siegfried at the Sydney Opera House

Under the musical direction of Simone Young , the first Australian conductor to lead a Ring cycle at the Bayreuth Festival, a top-class cast is presented, including Wolfgang Koch as Wanderer and Miina-Liisa Värelä (Brünnhilde).

The Sydney Symphony Orchestra characterizes these performances as a “once-in-a-generation event” within a large-scale Ring project that focuses on the emotional and sonic power of Wagner’s music.

Performances: November 13th and 16th, 2025
