14 APRIL – 8 MAY, HAMBURG STATE OPERA

Jennifer Holloway is currently singing the role of Chrysothemis in Elektra at the Hamburg State Opera in a production that premiered on April 14 and runs until May 8.

Dmitri Tcherniakov's production is part of his comprehensive Strauss trilogy. Holloway's previous portrayals of this role have been widely acclaimed: she embodies the "simply dramatically wonderful, soaring sister" of Elektra, a "very musical Chrysothemis with a radiant voice," whose characterization is "passionate... her singing luminous."

In upcoming engagements, Holloway will take on the role of Adriano in a new production of Rienzi at the Bayreuth Festival Theatre, which will premiere on July 26 under the direction of Nathalie Stutzmann.
