Alexander Soddy wins the Abbiati Prize 2026 in the conducting category

Conductor Alexander Soddy was awarded the Premio della critica musicale “Franco Abbiati” 2025 , one of Italy’s most prestigious music prizes, awarded by the Associazione Nazionale dei Critici Musicali (ANCM) .

Soddy received the award in the conducting category for his artistic work at Teatro alla Scala (Ring cycle) as well as for the productions of “Salome” and “Macbeth” at Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino .

The award was presented as part of the 45th edition of the Premio Abbiati by a jury of ANCM members and selected music critics.
